…rattling about like a loose nut…

I had a funny thought this morning, which has been going around and around in my head.. rattling about like a loose nut…

.. and I still cant quite figure it out.

So maybe you can help me.

The governments, or rather central banks made interests rates low.  Banks gave away credit like there was no tomorrow… and people spent money like there was no tomorrow…

Then suddenly there was a credit crisis and all the credit dried up, because the banks had given away too much credit and given it to people who couldn’t pay it back – so the deals were not quite as good, trust was lost between the banks and bla bla bla we went into a financial free fall.

And now the governments come to the rescue, our saviours riding in on their fine steeds… and what do they do… they spend money to get us out of this crisis.

But wasn’t it spending money that got us into the crisis in the first place?  I just dont get it?  If the governments go bankrupt, do we then have to bail them out?

Please I’m just a simple online gambler… if I could have figured out how to win at blackjack… then maybe I can become a world renowned economist and save the world’s financial system…

We cant change anything, may as well leave them to it!

Daniel Says:

I know Hank, but it still makes me mad. Suppose I feel better having got it out of my system!
